Gladstone Vineyard is proudly part of one of the country's oldest Pinot Noir producing regions.
Named after the sub-region of the Wairarapa Valley, Gladstone.
The first of our vines were planted in 1986.
The property was sold to the Kernoham family in 1996 who spent the next two decades expanding the vineyard holdings and building a new winery.
In 2018, Eddie McDougall and a consortium under The Flying Winemaker acquired Gladstone Vineyard from the retiring Kernohans. Seeing the potential of the region, they seek to write the
new chapter of this prestigious wine estate.
The Flying Winemaker
Winemaking without borders while ultimately aiming to express the honest flavours of individual grape varietals. Each wine produced under this range is a benchmark example of grape, place, and maker.
With an ambitious and pioneering spirit, we thrive on discovering and expressing the finest terroir — getting the best from every grape with minimal intervention. The results are exceptional wines, crafted with passion and precision so you too can experience the journey, one sip at a time!
